GT Program

On Wednesday, November 14th at 6:30 PM in the Kennebunk Elementary School Library, Sara Zito, Principal of KES, will give a presentation to the parents of K-5 aged students on the social and emotional needs of exceptionally gifted children.  Prior to coming to KES, Sara worked in private schools with a special focus on the education of the gifted. Her presentation will highlight the research of Hollingworth, Robinson, Gross and others, and will provide parents with additional resources on this topic. Sara presented the topic at this year’s New England Conference on Gifted and Talented Education.

Cathy Kremer, a parent of a student from Kennebunk, has organized a parent group to discuss G/T issues.  She asked me to forward an invitation to parents who may be interested.  She holds occasional meetings and sends regular emails.  If you have any questions about the group, please contact Cathy Kremer.  Her email is hogel@gwi.net and her phone number is 985-2211.
