KES READING CELEBRATION!
KES will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday, and the 50th anniversary of The Cat in the Hat, in a special way. Students may create Dr. Seuss themed art at home or in the classroom the week of 2/12 - 2/16. We'll display it around KES. Our Monday morning meeting on 2/26 will have a special guest, The Cat in the Hat! We'll sing "Dr. Seuss, we love you!" and each student will receive a special sticker.
Wednesday, 2/28, will be Read What You Wear Day. (Parents, please make sure words on clothing are school appropriate.)
Friday, 3/2, is Dr. Seuss's birthday and we'll celebrate with classroom read-a-thons throughout the school. A Dr. Seuss themed lunch will also be served in our cafeteria.
