Welcome to the new school year!
Hello to all parents, grandparents and guardians of our Sea Road School parents!
This is my 9th year at Sea Road School. Once again I will be here full-time to serve the counseling needs of our students. I look forward to supporting your children in their time here.
You will see many developmental changes in your children over their time here. Social, emotional, intellectual and physical changes keep everyone hopping! Our primary focus in grades 4 and 5 is teaching strategies for success. Students at this age are taking quantum leaps cognitively and they want to be able to feel responsible for their own success. With the guidance and support of staff and parents working together they can do this!
In my work with students my priority is to involve students in active problem-solving as they face struggles. I will help them learn to use coping strategies. I am best able to help students when parents, teachers and myself all communicate regularly regarding concerns and progress.
