Important Information:

Sea Road School BOOK CLUB
We have a parent child book group here at Sea Road School. We hope you will join us for lively book discussions, light refreshments and an opportunity to meet other parents and children who love books as much as you do. Book groups are a great way to foster independent thinking and opinion-making and also give children the opportunity to share their ideas about what they read with their parents.
Our meetings will take place right after school in the library for about 1 hour. We will provide copies of the book. We are planning to meet every 6 weeks throughout the school year. If you are interested in joining us, just email or call Terri Bauld at 985-1105 (Ext.418) or tbauld@msad71.net. We will get copies of the book to your child. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
FIRST MEETING DATE: Tuesday, October 14th, Sea Road School Library 3:00 to 4:00
OUR FIRST BOOK: Rules by Cynthia Lord
Set in coastal Maine, this sensitive story is about being different, feeling different, and finding acceptance. Filled with humor and warmth, this Newbery Honor book will be an excellent discussion starter. “A rewarding story that may well inspire readers to think about others’
points of view.” – Publishers Weekly
