         <title>Updates for the Week of November 24th</title>

         <title>Updates for the Week of November 10th</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear Parents,<br />&nbsp;<br />A few updates for next week&hellip;</p><p>1.&nbsp; There is no school on Tuesday and Wednesday is an early release.&nbsp; <br />2.&nbsp; There will be spelling next week, but no SN.<br />3.&nbsp; Corrected Math Box packets 3 and 4 are due by Thursday.&nbsp; The students found out about this yesterday and many have already finished correcting the packets.<br />4. The Holiday Fair is fast approaching.&nbsp; Each year all classes are responsible for a raffle basket.&nbsp; Ours is a candle basket so anything to do with candles is great.</p><p>The POW WOW projects came out great.&nbsp; The students truly rose to the occasion!!&nbsp; It has been wonderful to catch up with everyone at conferences.&nbsp; As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.</p><p>Take care,<br />Rachel&nbsp;&nbsp; <br />&nbsp; <br /></p>]]></description>

         <title>POW WOW Time</title>

         <title>Updates for the Week of October 20th</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear Parents,</p><p>A few reminders for this week&hellip;</p><p>*I will be sending home a conference sign up sheet today.&nbsp; Please send this back as soon as possible to get your top pick.&nbsp; If none of these times work for you then let me know.&nbsp; <br />*This Wednesday is an early release day.<br />*There is no SN this week, but there is spelling.<br />*The last paragraph for the POWWOW project is due on Wednesday.&nbsp; I have encouraged the children to make sure they reread their paragraphs since I did NOT edit them.&nbsp; They should begin working on the poster soon.&nbsp; If anyone needs a piece of poster board, please let me know ASAP. <br />* The book report is due next Monday, the 27th.&nbsp; </p><p>I look forward to seeing you soon for conferences.&nbsp; As always, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me.&nbsp; </p><p>Take care,<br />Rachel <br /></p>]]></description>

         <title>Updates for the Week of October 6th</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Updates for the Week of October 6th&hellip;</p><p>1. This Wednesday will be an early release.<br />2. I will have homework help on Monday from 3:00-4:00.&nbsp; Please remember to send a note or email in with your child so I know that he or she is supposed to stay.&nbsp; <br />3. There will be NO SN this week, but we will still have spelling.&nbsp; <br />4. On Friday (October 10th) we will have three paragraphs due for the Native American project.&nbsp; The students know that these are supposed to be typed and in final draft form.&nbsp; If having these typed is a problem please let me know.&nbsp; <br />5. The fundraising packets are due this Monday.<br />6. We are currently collecting new and unused toys for a toy drive benefiting the Maine Children&rsquo;s Cancer Program.&nbsp; <br />7.          <title>Updates for the Week of September 29th</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear Parents,</p><p>A few reminders for next week&hellip;</p><p>* The book reports are due on Monday.&nbsp; We talked today about just needing a small summary to accompany any projects (1-2 minutes).&nbsp; There is no need for the summaries to be passed in so they don&rsquo;t need to be edited.&nbsp; </p><p>* Next Wednesday, and all of the Wednesdays in October will be Early Releases.&nbsp; </p><p>* We started our Native American research this week.&nbsp; The students should have a scoring guide for the projects attached to their homework folders.&nbsp; I will be sending home an informational letter to all parents on Monday, and I will also send home a calendar for the students to follow.&nbsp; The projects will be due on November 3rd , and the Pow Wow is on November 7th.&nbsp; </p><p>* We will have spelling and Scholastic News next week.</p><p>*The fundraising order forms and money are due back to school on October, 6th.&nbsp; There was a typo on the form that went home in Thursday&rsquo;s mail.<br />&nbsp; <br />Have a great weekend and try to stay dry.&nbsp; Please contact me with any questions or concerns.&nbsp; </p><p>Take care,<br />Rachel <br /></p>]]></description>

         <title>Updates for the Week of September 22nd</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dear Parents,</p><p>Here are some items for the upcoming weeks&hellip;</p><p>* I will not have homework help tomorrow due to a meeting I have.</p><p>* On Thursday there will be an Ice Cream Social from 4:30-6:00 at KES.&nbsp; </p><p>* We will have a SN test and a spelling test on Friday.&nbsp; </p><p>* We are continuing to work on Night of the Twisters and our Energy unit.&nbsp; </p><p>* The book report is due on September 29th.&nbsp; All students should start working on their project this week so they are not stressed this upcoming weekend.&nbsp; In addition to the project, all students should be prepared to give a short summary (1-2 minutes) about their book.&nbsp; This does not need to be handed into me so students should not stress out about the summary too much.&nbsp; </p><p>Please feel free to email or call me if you have any questions or concerns.</p><p>Rachel&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <title>Updates for the Week of September 8th</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Well the first week is over, and we&rsquo;re off to a great start!!</p><p>Several reminders for the upcoming week&hellip;</p><p>1. This Wednesday will be an early release.&nbsp; Students will be dismissed at 12:00.</p><p>2. Open House will be on Monday the 15th from 7:30-8:15. </p><p>3. We will start the book Night of the Twisters next week.&nbsp; </p><p>4. Scholastic News questions are due next Friday and we will also have a quiz that day.&nbsp; We went through the questions today so the kids have a better idea of what is expected.</p><p>5. Our specials schedule is as follows: Monday- PE, Tuesday- Music, Wednesday- Art, Thursday- Library, and Friday- Computer.</p><p>6. Band lessons are on the following days: Monday-Flutes, Tuesday- Clarinets, Wednesday-Saxophones, Thursday-Brass, and Friday-Percussion.&nbsp; Lessons are from 7:45-8:30 and will begin this Monday.</p><p>Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.</p><p>Take care,<br />Rachel </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /></p>]]></description>

         <title>Welcome Back</title>
