I continue to be impressed by the hard work and effort the children have been putting in to their assignments and quizzes. I am very proud of them.
1. Next week there will be NO Scholastic News.
2. We will do the NWEA's on Monday. This is an hour test administered in the computer lab.
3. The first book club meeting will be held on October 14th at Sea Road from 3:00-4:00
4. Don't forget this coming Wednesday is an Early Release Day.
5. We will be having our Native American POWWOW on November 7th. Our class will be going to the POWWOW from 11:00-11:25. You are welcome to join us !!!
6. The next book report is due November 13th. It is a mystery book. I have handed out the questions that need to be completed for this.

Book report
1. Last week we got a great start on the written paragraphs for the Native AMerican project. We will hopefully have these all completed this week so the children can complete the poster at home.
2. We finished reading Hatchet and will move to our next trade book by the end of this week.
3. We are studying Heat Transfers in Science. We just complete an experiment on Friday.
4. The next book report is due on November 13th. It is a mystery book. I have given them the questions to answer.
5. Beginning this week, I will give a spelling pretest on Thursday. If a child gets 100% then he/she does not have to take the test on Friday.
6. We will begin Word Masters this week. We will be studying these words for the next few months
7. I will am beginning to schedule parent teacher conferences. I am available before school beginning at 7:00 a.m. and afterschool except on Tuesdays. Please email me a time that is convenient for you.
8. If you have any paper towel tubes that you would like to donate, I would love to have them. I would like to make indian rain sticks with the children.
9. Don't forget tomorrow is an Early Release Day.

1. Overall, the Social Studies test was a success. I will be offering a retake this coming Tuesday during recess for those who would like to improve their grade.
1.There will be Scholastic this coming week.
2. Indian posters are due Friday, October 31st.
3. I have night conference times available on Tuesday October 28th at 5:15 and 7:00p.m. if anyone is interested. Otherwise, please email me a convenient day and time so we can schedule a parent conference.
4. Please send in paper towel cardboard rolls if you have any.
5. The Holiday Fair is approaching quickly. If you would like to volunteer for any amount of time on this day, please let me know.
